Ancillary procedures are designed to soften wrinkles and deep creases in the face. Facial wrinkles are lines of facial expression resulting from the movement of the underlying muscle. Correction may be accomplished in several ways: by using Botox to relax the underlying muscle, or by filling the lines in with collagen or other filler substances, or by resurfacing the skin using chemicals or the laser. The type and location of the wrinkles determine which procedure will be most effective.
